Sql editor - switch connection?
  • mkisaacsmkisaacs June 2011

Using DreamCoder for Oracle 6.0 Enterprise Freeware, I'm unable to figure out a way to use the Sql editor with multiple connections.  I'd like to be able to run a sql statement, then switch connections and run that same statement on a different database that I'm connected to.  I know this is possible with other products and I'm thinking there must be a way to do this in DreamCoder.  Can anyone help?

    Hi mkisaacs,

normally I open every single connection in a single Tag (option "Open connection in a new tab" in the registred connection context menu). Write the query in a SQL editor dialog. Select the desired DB  conncetion tab (saying DB "A") where I want to run the query for e press the play icon-button. If I want to execute the same query on the other DB (saying DB "B"), I select other DB connection Tab and again press the play icon-button.

This can appear a bit complicated, but have you to purpose a simple way to do what you need?

    Regards
